[Trick] Extract images from Office documents easily

Hello people! Today I bring you one of those useful tricks that we all like and that can get us out of trouble on more than one occasion. If you work with the Microsoft Office suite during your workday at the office, at school, university or at home, surely you have ever had the need to extract the images from a Word document for example, I ask you: how did you solve it?

The first option that may come to mind is to take a screenshot with the «key.Print Screen» (Print Screen) and then crop it in Paint to finally save it. Or if you prefer to automate, maybe you went to the almighty Google to look for a free program that does this task, of which there are many but you really don't need them, nor do you need to print a screen.

As an alternative I propose 3 interesting methods that suddenly you do not know, but that you should try as soon as possible and choose the one you like the most, without further introduction we are going to mess 😉

Method I - Change the extension

Knowing that MS Office documents from version 2007 are based on markup language XML, where the extension of each document ends with an X -for example in the case of Word your document has the extension . DOCX- We will take advantage of this to give rise to the next trick that I show you step by step in the next video.

Did you imagine it? It is very easy to achieve, it is personally my favorite and the one that I use. It should be mentioned that the trick is valid only for documents with an extension ending in X, for example: .XLSX, .PPTX, .DOCX and not for .XLS, PPT, .DOC. The reason has already been explained 🙂

Method II - Save as web page

If you have the document open in MS Office, a nifty way to extract its images is to save it as if it were a website. Make a backup beforehand.

With this it is achieved that the file given its new structure is divided and in its content we find the extracted images intact and maintaining the original quality. In the following gif you can see what the final result would be like.

Method III - Copy to Power Point

This is another clever option that is worth considering, it consists of copying the images of a document to Power Point and there simply right-clicking on the image and choosing the option «Save as image…«.

Finally, choose the format with which we want to save the image to our team.

That is all! You have on a silver platter 3 ways to save an image of a document, which prefer? If you find this information useful, I would appreciate it if you could share it on your favorite social networks or leave a comment 😀
