Say goodbye to apps you don't use
Surely there are applications on your mobile that you downloaded at the time, perhaps you even used them, but now you have spent months, or years, without opening it again. So why do you want it to take up space on your mobile?
We understand that it may be because you don't want to forget, in case it ever works for you, but luckily you have a download history that can help you save that application you don't want to forget.
Imagine that you have 50 applications, and you only use 10 of them. The rest, even if they are not used, are taking up space and if you delete them you can free up space on your mobile for others that are now more important.
Move your videos and photos to another storage
The mobile has become our camera. But the problem is that the more you do, the more space it eats up. And there may come a time when you can no longer put one more.
Now think about this: what if your mobile is stolen? What if it crashes and resets? Or even worse, it breaks and you can't get anything out of its memory? All your photos, videos... everything will disappear.
So, how about we make a backup copy on the computer and transfer those photos and videos, not only to the computer, but also, from there, to an external hard drive (to have a copy) and even to a cd or dvd to make sure.
On the one hand, you could delete all those files from your mobile or keep the ones you want and keep the rest safe.
Keep in mind that you can have the first photos of your baby, the funniest moments of your pet... And all that can be lost so easily that you will regret it for the rest of your life if it happens. And so you can free up space on your mobile.
Check your mobile from time to time
With this we are referring to the fact that, from time to time, you go through the “file explorer”. Sometimes we download things when we are on the Internet that we do not realize later. What if a pdf, what if a doc... They don't weigh much, and they barely take up space on the mobile, it's the truth. But little by little you will notice it. Besides, if it doesn't work for you, why are you going to have it there?
Insert a storage card
This is something normal already in all mobiles. When you buy one of the first things you do is put a micro SD card on it so you have more storage. Of course, some mobiles allow it and others do not.
If this is your case, how much is your micro card? Because it could be that you expand the storage simply by buying a bigger card.
Depending on the use you need for storage, we could well tell you to buy one that is twice the amount you have or even three or four times more because that way you will prevent it from filling up again in a short time.
Of course, keep in mind that you must transfer the data from one card to the other in order to have them.
Goodbye browser cache
This is not something that is commonly known or done on mobile phones, but the truth is that it should be done.
And it is that, as you browse the Internet, the pages you visit, especially if you visit them often, the browser saves certain elements of them so that it can load them faster later. That consumes storage.
To solve it, and by the way clean up the browser a bit, you should do periodic cleaning of the cache. How to do it? We explain it to you.
If you have an Android mobile you must go to Applications and, from there, to All applications. Now, in the list that it will give you, you need to search for your browser (usually the one we use is Google Chrome). Locate it and tap. You will get application information and, if you look, there will be a section that says "Storage and cache". Just below it tells you how much internal storage is being used.
If you enter, you will see two buttons, one to manage the space, and another to clear the cache. That is what we are interested in. Once you do, go to Manage space and click Clear all data. In this way you reset your browser in some way so that it does not take up space.
In the case of an iOS mobile, you have to go to settings and there to your browser (which is Safari). In Safari, when you press, the settings of this will appear and you will see a button in blue that says “Clear history and website data”. You just have to confirm that you want to do it and that's it.
Use the Google Files app
This surely you don't know. If you have an Android mobile, it is possible that, among the applications you have, there is one that is Google Files. This has a small tab that says "Clean" and is responsible for helping you free up space on your mobile. As it does?
The app will give you some tips that you can do, such as delete junk files, old screenshots, unwanted or duplicate files…
With these options, you can free up space on your mobile to continue using it. However, it can also happen that you have a virus or Trojan that is occupying your space. In these cases it is best to reset it and use a powerful antivirus. In this way you start over and all you need is to save everything you don't want to lose to have the mobile clean and again with all the free storage.
