How can I activate the autopilot in Microsoft Flight Simulator?

To activate the autopilot, go to the toolbar at the top of the screen - on Xbox it appears when you press the left stick - and select AI Control. There are three settings in this window – Checklist Attendance, Radio Communications Management and Aircraft Control. Selecting the last setting will activate the autopilot, relinquishing control to the co-pilot.
