At the end of the 80s, a revolution occurred in the world of technology that would mark a before and after of live performances. Around that time PowerPoint was born, a tool created by Microsoft and released for computers (currently also for mobile devices) with different operating systems.

History marks that the first version of the program, called "PowerPoint 1.0" was developed by the Forethought company and launched by Microsoft's eternal rival, Apple, more specifically the Macintosh, in April 1987.
The application had a fairly up-to-date presentation for that time, in black and white, and in turn it was managed by pages that mixed texts and graphics to project them in the real world using an “overhead projector”.
At the end of July of that same year, Microsoft would buy Forethought, thus keeping the PowerPoint programs. 3 years after this event, the first version of Windows 3.0 would be released, which would mark the start of the Microsoft Office versions.
Over the years that followed, the versions of this program were slowly but significantly updated, thus creating a fairly stable, dynamic and easy-to-use system.
Evolution of the user interface
The evolution of the interface that Microsoft provides to the user is significant, going from a somewhat simple design with many options but lacking others, to a simplified modern design.
The user functionality released for the year 2003 had a significant resemblance to the user interface of the previous version, released in the year 1992. However, in the next version many more toolbars were added, loading the program with many tools. unnecessary.
The PowerPoint Revolution
The following versions of the program also had the same flaw as this one, they were saturated with tools and complex information, so with PowerPoint 2007 a more practical design was chosen instead of more functionalities for it.
One of the most salient features of this decision was that it took full advantage of the processors of that generation, combined with the visual galleries. PowerPoint 2007 innovated by creating a preview for each action just as the mouse cursor hovers over a command icon.
With this change of approach, many problems that the previous versions brought were solved.
This would be maintained in later years and would also spread to the other programs that make up the Microsoft Office package, making PowerPoint the most used program for this type of thing, since today there is no other that supplants it in this pulled apart.
One of the most relevant functions applied in this version of PowerPoint was the fact that the user interface changed according to what you wanted to do.

PowerPoint 2010 and future versions
In the version of PowerPoint 2010 we have that the main novelty was the possibility of being able to work, two or more people on the same presentation.
This possibility made the elaboration of a group presentation much easier, because that way all the members could participate at the same time and not have to work separately. In this version, the possibility of converting a PowerPoint presentation into a video was also added.
In future versions of the program we have that the user interface is much more defined and the design is minimalist, unlike the modern design that previous versions had. Various functions were also added in later versions than 2010.
