When we right-click on Windows, the context menu offers us different options of tasks to perform, which we already know very well. However, for those of us who are more demanding, we know that the ones that come by default are not enough, as there are options that we would like to have, such as the command "To select". Fortunately for us, we can customize the context menu as we please.
This option select We already know it because it is present in the file explorer, specifically in the Home tab, as shown in the following screenshot:
Where are the submenus of select all, select nothing e invert selection. This feature can be very useful in our day to day, since we handle all kinds of files and content on our computer on a daily basis. By adding this feature we will be improving our productivity without a doubt.
How to add select to context menu
Basically what you do is add an entry to the Windows registry, we can do this manually using notepad and a few lines of code, but the process can be confusing and incorrect if you do something wrong. For this reason, to avoid fatigue and make this easy, at the end of this post I leave you the link to download a file, which will allow you with 1 click to achieve it successfully, as I will explain below.
Once this is done, you will find the new option Select in your context menu.
Easy right? While this is intended for Windows 10, I have personally tested it on Windows 7 for example and it has worked correctly. Tell us how you have been 🙂
