There are several types of roads you can build, though you won't get this opportunity until near the end of the main game. So that you do not miss the opportunity, we have detailed in this guide how to unlock paths and how to build them.

To build paths in Animal Crossing New Horizons, you need to unlock the Island Designer app. You can find more information about it here. Once you have it, you will be able to build tracks using the app. Simply open it and select the "build tracks" option. Select the type of trajectory and then trace with the «A» button.

Road types

In the Animal Crossing New Horizons game there are nine different types of paths. So far we have been able to unlock the following:

Once the tracks are placed, you can soften their edges by pressing “A” again. This will give the corners a more rounded look.
