Cyberpunk 2077 is not only a marvel in the world of RPGs and video games, but also because of its impressive graphics.
The vast world of Night City is worth seeing, and even on the lowest PC settings the game still looks great. However, this usually means that a lot of power is needed to run the game. In this case, you don't need a supercomputer to play Cyberpunk, but you may need relatively new hardware to enable ray tracing and still get decent FPS. For those who just want higher FPS, there are several ways to do it.
How to increase FPS on your PC in Cyberpunk 2077
The recommended PC requirements for Cyberpunk might make gamers think that they can run the game on older hardware just fine. However, CD Projekt RED's recommended requirements seem to focus on 30fps at medium or high settings. For most players, this is too low.
If you're running at 30-40 frames per second or looking for ways to increase your frame rate, there are a few different ways. The first is to reduce each setting to a minimum. These are mainly shadows and reflections, which are found in the Graphics menu. Turning everything off will result in a huge FPS boost, but the game won't be much worse.
So you'll want to disable ray tracing and disable DLSS. If your computer can run at more than 60fps with ray tracing turned on, by all means turn it on. However, RTX is a huge process that will significantly lower your FPS. On the other hand, DLSS increases FPS by 60%. The best setting gamers have found for DLSS is “Auto”.
The last step you can take is to go to the Nvidia Control Panel. For AMD users: Log in to Control Center. Once there, click on “Manage 3D settings” and then on “Add program”. From there, add Cyberpunk 2077, and then scroll through the list of settings until you see Texture Filtering. Click on it and set “Performance”. Also, set the power management mode to “Prefer maximum performance”. These settings will make your game prioritize FPS over image quality.
