However, despite the fact that MEGA achieves a very good download speed, those of us who are used to making our downloads with good Internet Download Manager (IDM for friends XD), we miss the power download from MEGA with IDM, since with a download manager it will always be better.

But there is a trick ...

Which will allow us to go down from Mega at maximum speed using the power of IDM, An explosive couple without a doubt. If you still do not know it, tell you that it is quite easy to apply, fast and efficient, so carefully follow the steps that I will detail below with the instructions.

Step 1:.- Download MegaDownloader, it is a download manager for MEGA, free and in Spanish.

It has a portable version (recommended) and another with an installer. Be careful that during the installation the MegaDownloader installer will offer you promotions and additional downloads. If you don't want them, press "Skip" / "Decline" when asked if you want to install them.

Step 2:.- Launch MegaDownloader and accept the terms of use.

(Optional) Go to the general configuration and add your MEGA account, that is, your login details. Personally, I do it without logging in.

Step 3:.- Without leaving the configuration, go to the tab 'Streaming', enable the box «Use streaming server»And save the changes.

Step 4:.- Once this is done, a Windows Firewall security alert window will appear, there it simply allows access.

Step 5:.- Now in the main window of MegaDownloader click on 'Streaming' and 'Watch online'.

Step 6:.- This is the most important step, in this new window that will open, you must paste the MEGA download link. Instantly in the lower box that says "Streaming link" a link will be generated, copy that new streaming link.

Step 7:.- Now start Internet Download Manager and click on the "Add URL" button, paste the streaming link from the previous step and accept.

Step 8:.- That is all! You will see that immediately in IDM the window will appear to download the file that is hosted in MEGA.

As an example in the following screenshot, I show you the original file in MEGA and the one that has been uploaded to IDM for its respective download.

IMPORTANT:

• During the download you should not close MegaDownloader, otherwise it will be canceled.
• For the next downloads you make, you must start from step 5.
• It is recommended to use the portable version of MegaDownloader.

Although MegaDownloader is very complete, we know that Internet Download Manager is of another level, the download speeds are wonderful, just compare the speeds 😉

Method II

As an alternative to the above and to avoid how slow the configuration and subsequent use of MegaDownloader can be, it is that below is a simple and fast technique.

As we well know, MEGAsync is the official transfer manager of MEGA, so taking advantage of the fact that most users have it installed and that for our benefit it has the characteristic of being able to carry out streaming With it, we are going to use the latter to use our equipment as if it were a local server (localhost) and generate an address, which we will paste in IDM and thus be able to download with its power.

Method III

The current problem is that MEGA limits our daily downloads to 1-2 GB, specifically we talk about the transfer fee, and tells us that if we want to continue downloading we must become PRO users, that is, pay and buy a premium account, otherwise wait a certain number of hours to download again for free.

Mention that this limit can vary, it is dynamic and depends on the amount of unused bandwidth that we have available. But beware, the free transfer limit is assigned to IP address, it is there that we must take advantage of the "bug" to change our IP and continue with the download 😉

How to jump the limit MEGA downloads?

I credit the author of the following video, Geek guanaco, which uses precisely the tools that I recommend, especially Psiphon in conjunction with Mega Link Downloader. as a good alternative to MegaDownloader.

The idea of ​​this method is to change our IP only for a moment, paste the URL of the file that we want to download in the manager and once the download starts, disconnect from the Psiphon or SafeIP program, to use our connection so that it is not slow like when we change the IP.
