EDP ofrece rates varied electricity and/or gas for all its customers located in Spain. Before contracting its services, it is important that you are aware of all the rates it offers and the plans that come with them, since in this way you will be able to choose the plan that best suits your needs.
EDP and its rates
EDP is a company that offers energy and gas services, with different modalities and rates, which are designed to cover each of your needs and adapt perfectly to you. The services that this company offers are the following:
- Air – Light.
- Air – Light day and night.
- Your Air – Gas.
Air – Light
This is the first plan and/or package offered by the company, it has a totally fixed rate and no variables. Since “Air – Light” was established, EDP clients are satisfied because the total payment they must pay every month is always the same, as we have already mentioned, it does not have any variables.
Air – Light day and night
The "Air - Light day and night" plan has a rate that usually varies, since it was created mainly so that you can use this service at night, without any problems or failures.
Your Air – Gas
Since the “Tu Aire – Gas” service was established, you can consume 50.000 kWh annually, without your service failing at any time. Also, if you want to take out two of these plans together, you can do so, because EDP ofrece rates dual so you can enjoy its basic services to the fullest.
Dual Rates
In order for EDP to offer the best to its clients, it brings them different dual rates, so that they can contract two basic services that they need. In them you will find the following:
- Air Gas + Light.
- Air Gas + Light day and night.
- Gas + Light + EDP operation.
Many of these rates are for residences, but keep in mind that when it comes to them, they do not have a permanence contract like any other service.
Costs
Each of the service rates offered by EDP have different costs, however, they are still accessible to each of the Spaniards who hire them. For example, the “Aire Luz” rate has always been fixed and despite the time, it continues to maintain the same cost, which is €57,83, but remember that it is for two consecutive months, since it works this way. In addition, it is in full operation 24 hours a day with an energy power of 10 to 15 kWh.
With regard to the "Air Light day and night" rate, it does not have any type of discrimination by time, it is in full operation 24 hours a day, but as it is a day and night service it has certain parameters, the which are established by bands, where on the day the power offered by the energy is a maximum of 15 kWh and its cost is €56.02. When is electricity cheaper?

What does the maintenance service offer me?

For contracting, the EDP company usually sets up a space in the client section, whose name is "Works" and once you have entered there, you will be able to contract the "Works" service. This comes included with the following:
- Annual review of the electrical installation and the natural gas installation.
- Annual review of boilers or heaters.
- Immediate attention in 3 hours in case of an emergency.
- Totally free periodic inspection for gas.
- Repairs of facilities, appliances and natural gas appliances.
- Plumbing repairs.
It is important to point out that when contracting this service, the company will grant you a series of extra services, which are summarized in 3.000 points for contracting the service and another 100 for each year that you spend affiliated with said service.
Which one should I hire?
All this will depend on different issues and variables, since if you are a customer who usually has a lot of energy consumption, you need more electrical power or you want to have a maintenance service for it. If what you are looking for is the cheapest service, we suggest the "Air light" service, since it helps you to have 30% less energy consumption than usual.

Which are the requirements?
The documents you need to have to be able to hire EDP and its rates are the ones mentioned below:
- Full Name.
- DNI.
- Phone.
- Personal email address.
- Exact address of your home.
- CUPS code.
- Details of a personal bank account.

How much does it cost to register the electricity service?
It is of the utmost importance that you, as a customer, know the difference between when a home and/or business has or does not have electricity service. When you press the light button or the well-known switch, it should turn on and if so, it means that the electricity contract is still valid in the respective property and for this reason you must make a change in the holder of said contract. In the event that the lights do not turn on, it is logically indicative that there is no electricity supply because the service has been terminated and that is when we must carry out the process of registering the electric light.
When you decide to start the process to register the electricity service with the EDP company or even with any other electricity company, you must take into account the following situations that we will mention:
- Price for registering electricity with the EDP company in a home that has never had electricity supply service.
- Total cost for registering electricity with EDP in a home that has cut off the energy supply.
Important Note: Keep in mind that you can contract the electrical power in multiples of 0,1 kW, as long as it is not going to exceed 15 kW of power.
Price for reactivating a supply
Here we are going to leave you a series of prices of electricity supplies with the company EDP:
- For 3,45 kW the price is €93,17.
- Power contracted for 4,6 kW, its price is €150,59.
- Power contracted for 5,75 kW, is priced at €148.

These rates do not have VAT included but they do come with a special discount by the company that offers them.
Customer area
The company offers on its web platform an area especially for customers, where you can express any problem that you are facing, as well as conflicts that you have with the electricity service or if you have any questions regarding your bills. As in any online platform, you must register and for this you must follow a series of steps that we bring you below:
- Mainly you have to enter the institution's website in the "Client Area" section and you can do it directly through this means.
- One of the data that the online platform will request from you to formalize your registration is your ID, a telephone number and/or a personal email address.
- For the system to be able to verify your identity, you will receive a text message to the phone number you have provided, if you did not indicate a number, then you will receive the message by mail.
- Create a password, so that with it you can enter the system whenever you need or want to.
When you have completed each of these steps, you will be able to enjoy the services offered by EDP online, and you will also begin to carry out any number of procedures by this same means.
What procedures can be carried out online?
You can carry out any variety of normal and highly necessary procedures that concern EDP contracts, be it electricity or natural gas. If you want to see and know how these procedures are carried out through the company's website, read the following in detail:
- Redeem the points for gifts and/or discounts on electricity or gas services.
- Download EDP invoices and activate digital invoices.
- Hire the maintenance service.
- Analyze the energy consumption that you have generated in a certain period in your billing.
How can I redeem the points I receive from the company?
These points granted by the company can be used to exchange them for gifts or discounts on electricity and/or natural gas bills. In order for you to get these points, you must have contracted one of the rates or specifically the PDE energy in the rates that the company offers, since for each year that passes and that you as a client continue to remain affiliated with it, you will be awarded extra points.
In order for you to redeem these points, you must enter the «Customer Area» and then in the «Points Program» section, once you are there, you must follow the following steps:
- First, check the points you have at your disposal.
- Consultation the catalog of EDP gifts.
- Observe the movements you have made with the points obtained.
- Finish by exchanging these EDP points for gifts or discounts.
On the other hand, it is important to note that the points that have been awarded to you by the company have a maximum duration of three years. In case of not using them during this period of time, they will expire and then disappear automatically.
How can I download my invoice?
You only have to enter the EDP website, consecutively go to the "Invoices" section and there proceed to consult them. After you make this query, you will be able to download each of the invoices that have been issued up to that moment. If you have pending invoices, you can pay them in that section. To download, it is mandatory that you click on the date on which it was issued, so that you proceed to the download and can do so successfully.
Another benefit this section gives you is the possibility of performing the analysis of a graph with the valuation of each and every one of the invoices issued, in order to be able to consult each one of the payment concepts. If you have not activated digital invoicing, you can do so from one of the sections of EDP Online whose name is "Summary", then you must proceed to access "Manage contract" and to complete this process you must click on " Activate electronic invoice”.
Can I analyze my energy consumption?
Another of the spaces used and enabled by the "EDP online" is to analyze energy consumption and read the meter. Each of the clients who are logically affiliated with the service, can consult the consumption and this through the "Consumption and readings" section. EDP will allow you to analyze the energy consumption that has been generated at a billing time or in the average daily consumption. And if you wish, you also have another possibility, which is to consult the consumption generated by four-month periods or by years.
Note: It is important that you know that if electricity and natural gas are among the services you have contracted, you can consult the consumption of both.
I want to contribute my meter reading
From the same section that we mentioned in the previous section, which is called "Consumption and readings", you can provide the reading of your electricity or gas meter. By providing said reading to the EDP company, this will serve to prevent different “Estimated Readings” calls from being made, since there they will calculate the expense based on the expense originating in different periods and even in previous ones. In this same space, you will be able to consult the value of all the readings by billing time that have originated up to the present date.
If you have a smart or tele-managed electricity meter among your belongings, you do not need to provide the reading, since it will be issued automatically. At the moment there are no smart meters for natural gas supplies.
Can I change the electrical power that I have contracted?
As a customer you have the possibility of changing the electrical power contracted with the EDP company, you can do this from the "Summary" section and once you have entered there you will find all the contracts you have contracted, as well as all the that the company offers you. In addition to this, you will find a button next to the name "Manage contract", which you can enter whenever you want.
There you will be able to find different options, such as the option to download the contracts, to change the home address or to modify it. The power change of EDP rates, you can do just by going to the bottom of your screen and then, you must click on the "Change of power" option, there you must proceed to choose the electrical power that you want to contract and the exact time in which you want it to be make that change.
Making the change of electrical power has a specific cost, which you will have to pay in the next billing of the electricity service once the desired change has been made. What you must cancel is the following:
- Price for increasing electrical power.
- Cost by reducing the electrical power.
How to download the App?
The company, in addition to offering you the option of «EDP rates«, makes it possible for you to download the App, which is ideal for all mobile devices and is available to all customers of said company. By means of it, you will be able to manage several of the options that are found there and you can do this from wherever you are and at the time you want.
