Can chests respawn in Genshin Impact?

Chests play an important role in Genshin Impact; they can be found everywhere: on plains, on top of mountains, in caves, and even underwater. Chests provide interesting rewards based on their rarity.

Types of chests

• • Normal – offers 0-2 Primogems (if the chest has been protected by a tag), 20 AR, 3 Sigils (Anemo/Geo), Mora, and a random amount of weapons, artifacts, and character EXP.

• • Refined – Offers 2-5 Primogems, 20-30 AR, 3-4 Sigils (Anemo/Geo), Mora, and a random amount of character weapons, artifacts, and EXP.

• • Precious – offers 5 Primogems, 30 AR, 4-10 Sigils (Anemo/Geo), Mora, and a random amount of weapons, artifacts, and character EXP.

• • Luxury – Offers 10-40 Primogems, 30-60 AR, 4-10 Marks (Anemo/Geo), Mora, and a random amount of weapons, artifacts, and character EXP.

As for the answer to the question of whether chests refresh, the answer is that some chests do refresh, but not all. At the moment, only Ordinary Chests (after 24 hours) and Refined Chests (over 24 hours) are updated. As for the cases in which the chests do not refresh, the best example would be the Shrines of the Deep: once opened they do not refresh. Precious Chests and Luxury Chests are also not updated, at least for the time being. They are usually a reward for completing a quest or solving a difficult puzzle.
