WhatsApp is one of the messaging applications that we use the most on a daily basis. For this reason, there are many who are encouraged to experiment and create messages with different fonts, with bold, italics, etc. But, how to change the font in WhatsApp?

Change the font size in WhatsApp
Let's start by changing the font size in WhatsApp. This is quite easy to do and will take almost no time at all. However, you must take into account that the fact that you put a size does not mean that others, when they receive a message, see it as big or small as you see it on your screen.
Each one, in a personal way, can put the size they want, in such a way that it is personalized.
And how is that done? We give you the steps:
- Open WhatsApp on your mobile.
- Now, in the upper right, you will see the three vertical dots. Tap on them.
- Click on Settings.
- Within the menu that appears, go to chats.
- Now, scroll down until you find “Font Size”.
- Finally, you will have to choose between small, medium and large. There is no more possibility to put it or to customize a font size based on numbers, so you will have to see which of them is the one that allows you to read your messages comfortably.
How to change the font in WhatsApp
Let's start from the base of that application for now, and Officially, it does not allow you to change the font. That is, you can only use the one that the app has by default.
However, this is not really the case because there is a way, or perhaps we should say several, to change it.
monospace font
Start with a "legal" one. That is, WhatsApp tolerates it. Really you are going to write with the same font (because the app considers it a format), but visually it will look like another font.
What Monospace does is that the width between letters is always the same, in such a way that when you see it, it will seem to you that it is written differently.
To get this source all you have to do is write three accents before the text you want to send and, at the end, and before giving send, write another three accents again.
In this way, the message will be wrapped and the formatting will be applied to all the text.
For example: «`this is a monospace message«`
This is how it would look and in WhatsApp it will look different when you send it (unless you do it, you will see it with the three accents in front and behind).
Using a third party app
Although it is another of the options that we can carry out, it is not really the best. And there are some applications that are not recommended because they can come with viruses or conflict with your other applications.
Of those that there are, we recommend Stylish Text, which is the most complete and, for now, safe. You just have to install it on Android (it's not available for iPhone) and once you give it all the permissions it will let you choose the font you want.
Of course, unlike before, with the size of the font, in this case the font will be seen by both you and the recipient of the messages you want to send.
Changing the WhatsApp keyboard
Another option you have to change the font in WhatsApp is use a different keyboard than the one on your mobile or the Gboard that you have downloaded. Again, you have to be careful when downloading from the App Store (for iPhone) or Play Store (for Android) but, if they are reliable, it will allow you to choose a different font than usual and send messages that way.
We can recommend Fonts, which is on Android and iOS, or any unicode keyboard.
Of course, keep in mind that if you change it in WhatsApp, it will also be changed in other apps you work with so it is best to change the keyboard from time to time.
Using a website
Another option you have is to use a web with unicode text to "transform" the message you want to send.
However, it can be more cumbersome because the process is as follows:
- Enter the website you choose. For example: https://qaz.wtf/u/convert.cgi.
- Put the text you want to write and hit "Show".
- Just below it will put several examples for you to choose the one you like the most.
- Copy the result and paste it into WhatsApp messaging.
- Hit send.
The same shape that you have seen in the letter is what the other person will receive.

When the WhatsApp formats came out a few years ago, everyone wanted to use them, but they were quite complicated because you had to learn the codes and remember to put them before and after the message you were going to send. For this reason, the app brought out something simpler that not everyone knows.
When write a message, before sending it, select it. In fact, you can select the part you want. When doing so, a menu will appear at the top where you will see various characteristics, one of which is bold. If you give the Three vertical dots appearing will allow you to italicize, strikethrough, or monospace.
