Ways to write on a PDF
When PDFs became "famous" because it was the way to send professional documents with a good image, they were impossible to edit. To do it, you had to have the original document (which was usually in Word) and touch it up there and then convert it to PDF.
Now it is not that much has changed, but we have several options to take into account to be able to write in a PDF. Which is it? We tell you about some.
Edge
Yes, if you have Windows you will know that Edge is the "official" Windows browser. This allows you to read PDFs (as happens with Mozilla or Chrome), but also, in the latest version, it expanded not only to read PDFs but also to write. That is, you can add text to a PDF document without using other programs.
To do this, you need to make sure that you have version 94 or higher of Microsoft Edge Canary.
When using it, with the PDF open you must click on the “Add text” function. You find it next to Read and Draw. Another option is with the right mouse button.
You can include the text you want, and even change the color, size, format...
Once you're done, you just have to save so that the changes stay in the PDF. It will be as if you have never touched it before. But it allows you to do whatever you need in that document.
With Word
Another way to write in a PDF concerns Word. Whether you have the original (and can work with it and then save it in the PDF format), or you don't, you know that it can convert PDF documents to Word, thus making them editable. How do you do that?
Open the Word program on your computer.
Now, click on open “other document type files”. Click on the PDF that interests you and after a few seconds or minutes that it takes to convert you can start working on it.
Then, you just have to Export in PDF.
Using Adobe Acrobat DC
Another option you have to write on a PDF is through Adobe Acrobat DC. It is the best known program to read PDFs (because at first there was only this one).
You can use it both on the computer and through a mobile application. However, the function of writing on a PDF may not be a free tool. In other words: the program has two versions, the basic one that is free, and the developed one, or Pro, that is paid by subscription.
The function of writing on a PDF is often paid for but you can always take advantage of the fact that they give you 7 free days to try everything the tool offers to work on it and be able to add what you need before that free period runs out.
With online tools
In addition to the options that we have given you, which are usually the usual ones, the truth is that there are also others that you could try. Of course, you must take into account two things:
That sometimes the PDF, when trying to edit it, loses the format in which it was made. In other words, the edition is lost: the photos can turn out badly, the text does not read well (or it puts things that it should not), etc. This is because when the PDF is converted, there may be problems and the program tries to fix it, but not in the best way. In those cases it is better to have the original in Word to work on but, if you can't, sometimes it is even better to start from scratch.
We are talking about online tools, which will mean that you have to upload the PDF to a server that is not yours. When the PDF does not contain important data, nothing happens, but if it contains personal or very sensitive data, even if nothing happens, you cannot control what is going to happen to that document, because it would already be alien to you, and sometimes that is not It is the best.
If you still want to try, pretty much all the tools follow the same pattern:
You must upload the PDF file to the online page. This can take a few seconds or minutes depending on the weight of it.
Then you will have a tool with a text editor so you can delete parts or add others (the "T" is the one that will allow you to write new texts). In addition, you can adjust the size, underlining, bold...
Once you've finished, all you have to do is finish editing and hit the Download button.

With mobile applications
In the case of mobile applications, you also have some with which you can easily edit PDF documents. They all work the same: they will ask you to open the application, open the PDF document in them and, if possible and it is not blocked, you can edit the document.

PDFElement
This is a very competitive app, but it has a trick. You have basic tools, which are free. But there are others that are paid and the one to edit the PDF, as well as the one to search in images are paid.
Even so, if it's worth it, it's one of the best and most complete app you have.
