Icarus, a rugged Icarus awaits you, the biggest mistake in the history of Humankind. In your quest for riches, you will have to explore the area, do some foraging, make your own tools, and track the animals. Here's how to use sleeping bags and beds.

How are sleeping bags and beds used in Icarus?

Beds and wooden beds in Icarus must be unlocked in the tech tree. These are the requirements:

Bedding

• • Level 1 – can be unlocked early on, after learning how to light a fire. You can then spend a point to learn this blueprint.

• • Materials – 20x fiber, 10x stick, 20x fur and 10x leather.

Wooden beds

• • Level 2 – You must reach level 10 to unlock the Crafting Bank. Then reach level 15 to unlock the Carpentry Bench. You can then spend a point studying this crafting bench.

• • Materials – 20x Bare Wood, 30x Fur, 10x Leather, and 10x Copper Nails.

Due to the materials and the effort that goes into making them, it is more than likely that you will be dealing with making bedding from the beginning to the end of the game. Plus, when you go exploring, you don't want to lug around a ton of stuff that still needs to be brushed up.

New spawn points

Even if you have these items, they won't do any good if you spread them out in the open air. Instead, you will have to build a shelter. A fairly common option is to build enough wooden structures (ie walls and roofs) to enclose the place. If you do it right, holding down the "E" key will turn the bed or wooden bed into a new spawn point in Icarus.

• • Note 1.If you need to move to a new location, you can move your cursor over the fixture and press “Y”. It will be disassembled and returned to your inventory.

• • Note 2.If you want to rest, you have to create a fire (8x fiber, 8x stick and 24x stone). You can sleep in a sleeping bag or on a wooden bed with a fire next to it.

If you don't want to lug around multiple materials, you can use a Stone Pickaxe (8x Fiber, 8x Stick, and 24x Stone). When you see a large rock formation, you can hollow it out and make a tunnel with this tool. Make sure the ground is level and there is enough space inside. Then put a bed in this place.

The game will decide that you have made a shelter and the bed will be covered, allowing you to use it as a temporary spawn point in Icarus.
