Extract icons with IconViewer

All at one time or another, we have had the interest of extract (copy) the icon of a program, either to be used as part of customize Windows or for any other purpose that we want, personally I have always been interested in the icons of the libraries (DLLs - Dynamic Links Libraries) of the computer games and Operating Systems. However, this task can often be complicated if we do not have the knowledge, but from today that will no longer be a problem if we do it using IconViewer.

IconViewer it's a little free utility for windows, which works as a shell extension for the Explorer, allowing us view, copy and save the icons contained in programs and libraries in a very simple way.
Once installed, just open the properties of any program or library (right click> Properties) and select the tab or label "Icons"; In this way, you will have free access to the different icons available, with a respective preview, so that you can save them or copy them to the clipboard in case you want to add it to a text document. (See screenshot)
It should be mentioned that likewise, you can save the icon as an image in PNG or BMP format, if you wish.

IconViewer It is compatible with Windows 7 / Vista / XP, available only in English and its installer file is 684 KB in size. Interesting utility that you must take into account!
