Conrad Werner is a self-proclaimed big fan of Shepard, but mostly he causes problems for Spectre. Conrad often breaks the fourth wall by commenting on the show's mechanics and Shepard's mannerisms. Conrad is first encountered in the Upper Market of the Citadel Vaults (he does note that if all the planets are already razed, this cutscene will not occur). He will ask Shepard for an autograph. At this point the player can either accept or decline, with the result that Conrad will either walk away delighted or frustrated.

Where to find Conrad Werner in Mass Effect

After completing the main story quest in Noveria, Theros, or Terum, return to Varda to meet Conrad a second time. He will now ask for a photo of Shepard. The subtext of him will vary slightly depending on whether Shepard is male or female. To continue the quest, players must accept it; if they reject the request, Conrad will leave the trilogy forever, later revealing that he was killed in a battle with a group of turians.
