How to make tinted glass in minecraft

To make Stained Glass in Minecraft, you will need four Amethyst Shards and a Crystal Block placed on the crafting table, as shown in the image below.

It's not hard to make tinted glass, but amethyst, which is needed to make the glass, is hard to come by. So first you have to find a geode and get the amethyst shards you need from its depths.

Geodes can be found in large groups from Y=70 and below, and you can tell a geode has been found by the smooth outer layer of the basalt block.

Geodes can also be found on the surface, on beaches, or underwater in the ocean, but most are found underground around Y=70 and in the bedrock layer.

When you find a geode, look inside and find the cluster of amethysts shown below.

This is the fourth stage of the amethyst growth cycle and the only one where a shard can be obtained. Also, this cluster can be mined with a stone pickaxe and higher.

Once you get at least four shards from the geodes, you're ready to mine the shards, and then all you need is glass. Glass can be obtained by digging up blocks of sand on beaches and deserts, then melting the sand in a furnace.
