Outriders players can collect journal entries to increase their Accolade level and learn more about the game's story, and some of them are in the First City. There's a lot to do in Outriders, but players who want to collect all 339 pages of the magazine will have their work cut out for them. Instead of trying to tackle this daunting task all at once, it's best to break it all up into areas, collecting journal entries as the game progresses. While most zones have no more than 10 or 11 log entries, the First City zone has a staggering 17 log entries (not counting automatic log entries, which don't require the player to pick up anything). ). This makes it an ideal place to start for players looking to increase their Haste level.

Journal entries provide a deeper insight into the history of the Outriders. Some delve into what life was like on Enoch before the first anomaly storm, while others discuss more current events, such as the rebels and the war between them and the ECA. The first journal of the First City is easy to find, plus it's at the beginning. After charging into the area, head up the hill to the sign that says "Exile Territory." Turn left to find these notes on the body on the ground.

The second magazine is a bit harder to find. Climb up the hill covered by the anomalous storm to an area called Anomaly Hilltop. Near the end of this area is a dead body next to some notes nested between two concrete barricades.

After finding this log entry in the Hangman, go ahead and head to the Radio Tower area. On the path, in front of the big building, turn left and follow this path. There should be a log entry about a body found near the chain-link fence.

Head towards the Hangman's Tree, warping it with a signal flag or going down the cable car. Approach the big tree and find under it a note about a corpse.

Continue along the main path to reach the Plaza de los Contenedores. Two logs can be found in this area, but the first one is on a corpse inside a large shipping crate. To get it, walk to the big round building and look to the left.

Finally, face the door and go left this time. Next to the wall is another note that players can add to their collections. The last five notes are part of the side quests for this area, so players will need to complete the main quest and then talk to Zahidi to start the "Infinite Darkness" side quest and Alfred McKellen to start "No Place Like The End". home".

The journal from the first side quest is easy to find, but difficult to access. Players will have to go through the entire "No Place Like Home" side quest, which includes fighting a boss and some pretty strong rebels. Just like before, this note is also part of a side quest, so it can't be skipped. However, it may confuse some players, as it will not appear in the cryochamber building until Skarstedt's body has been examined.
