Resident Evil Village How can I expand my inventory?

This Resident Evil Village guide page will show you how to permanently expand Ethan's inventory.

This is important if you want to carry a lot of items that can fill your main character's inventory at once. Initially, there are 45 slots in the main character's inventory. They may contain weapons, ammunition, medicine, or lockpicks. Key items, files, and treasures do not fit into the main inventory window. These items do not take up inventory space.

Despite these features, your inventory can fill up very quickly and make it difficult to continue the game. This is because:

• • Large items (especially weapons) take up multiple slots in your inventory. The shotgun in the picture takes up 10 slots.

• • Large ammo packs are distributed in separate slots.

The problem of too small an inventory can be solved by the Merchant Duke, whom you first meet on the way from the village to the castle. He also appears later in the game (the places where you can find him are listed on a separate page in this guide).

Duke sells suitcases for extra luggage, which aren't cheap. You can buy the first suitcase after the first encounter with the merchant. It costs 10000 credits (lei). At first refrain from spending credits on other items and sell the purchased artifacts to Duke. This will allow you to accumulate the necessary amount fairly early in the game.

The first suitcase expands your inventory to 77 slots. This is especially useful in the later stages of the game, when you can find new weapons (like a sniper rifle) and craft more items.

The second suitcase can be purchased after defeating the boss in Dimitrescu's Castle and returning to town, ending up in the Altar area. Unfortunately, it costs up to 30000 credits, but you can immediately sell the artifact obtained by defeating the boss of the castle to Duke and get 25000 credits for it. So Ethan will need "only" five thousand more.

The second suitcase expands his inventory to 104 slots, allowing Ethan to comfortably carry all of his weapons and various supplies.
