Take care of your health when using a computer

What do I mean by this? If you spend many hours with a computer you will realize the consequences that this will bring you; as your back will hurt, itchy red eyes, hand cramps, headache, etc. This is precisely what we want to avoid and give you some tips that will be useful for the next time you sit down in front of a computer.

Health is the most important thing, so pay maximum attention to know the typical problems of any user:

1.- Vision problems: It is proven that when we are in front of a screen we blink much less frequently, which affects our eye health. To combat this problem you have several solutions:

a) The first and most logical, try to blink more often.

b) Try to rest your eyes from time to time, focusing on an object from a long distance.

2.- Back problems: These problems are a direct consequence of bad postures in front of the computer, which we often adopt almost without realizing it. If you work long hours in front of the PC, try to follow the following tips:

a) Sit with your back straight and your legs WITHOUT crossing; NEVER with one leg bent under the rest of the body.

b) Adjust the height of the chair and table so that your arms are bent at a 90º angle to type. If possible, use an ergonomic chair.

c) The monitor should be placed in front of you (never to the side) and high enough so that the top edge of the screen is at eye level.

3.- Arm problems: Just as tennis players suffer from the so-called “tennis elbow”, those of us who work half our lives with computers run the risk of suffering from “mouse elbow” or, worse still, the dreaded carpal tunnel syndrome. To avoid them, follow these tips:

a) Don't force the posture of your hands on the keyboard and mouse. Use wrist rests.

b) Rest your arms on the armrests of the chair or table. Do not write with your arm “in the air”

c) Position keyboard and mouse so that they are aligned with your body, neither crooked nor separated

I advise you to read a little more about ergonomics and posture for the use of a PC and something very, very important prevent carpal tunnel syndrome.
