Programming the automatic shutdown in Windows can be useful many times, for example, to turn off the computer after a download, when making backup copies, among other tasks that take many hours, especially if you are going to leave home or go to sleep. and you have to leave the PC turned on so that it stops consuming power at the end.
Although this in Windows can be achieved in a simple way through commands in the command prompt, the advantage of using programs is that they simplify this task, make it much faster and offer us more advanced options that are necessary.
It is in that sense that Shutdown8 is the recommended application for turn off the equipment with timer, as its own description says.
This nice utility is available in Spanish among many other languages, it is free and it stands out for its intuitive use. As an important fact to mention that it is developed by the same creators of Bandizip, the best free alternative to WinRAR that we have already seen in a previous post.
When you run Shutdown8 directly, your options will appear.
Where you have the respective elements to turn off, log off, restart, suspend, hibernate and what interests us; turn off PC with timer. By default there are automatic shutdown values for 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour and 2 hours.
Choosing any option will open a new window, where with the + and - buttons you can change the time you want the computer to turn off or perform another feature as shown in the following screenshot of the program.
