World of Warcraft: Shadowlands – How to Find Redeemed Souls

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands – How to Find Redeemed Souls

The new World of Warcraft update: Shadowlands Covenant Shrine requires WoW Redeemed Souls.

Upon reaching the maximum level, players can join one of four Covenant Shrines, which can be leveled up for additional benefits. However, upgrading a Covenant Shrine is only possible if you have enough Redeemed Souls. You can get a limited number of souls each week, so it's a good idea to start collecting them early. Although there is no quick access, this is how redeemed souls are quickly unlocked, earned and used.

Why collect redeemed souls?

Before we start collecting, let's look at the reasons why you should want Redeemed Souls. Essentially, souls are the final stage currency of the Shadowlands. Along with Anima (which is much easier to collect), Redeemed Souls are used to upgrade the Covenant Shrine, which consists of four different parts:

  • Transportation Network: Upgrade to make it easier to move around your Covenant region and travel to new places.
  • Anima Conductor - will give you a special task, from searching for treasures to fighting an elite enemy (updated daily). Upgrading with Redeemed Souls will give you more challenging tasks with better rewards.
  • Adventure Upgrade: Unlocks mini adventure challenges, improves the adventurer's healing abilities, and reduces the time it takes to complete the challenge.
  • Pact Activity: This is a special ability that can, for example, allow you to create special skins or craft useful consumables (depending on the Pact you choose).

So if you don't want to miss out on new abilities, new ways to discover the Shadowlands, and a bunch of new species and vehicles for your character, you're going to need souls.

How to get the first redeemed souls

If you're wondering why you haven't met a redeemed soul yet, you probably haven't finished the Shadowlands story. In short, all champions must enter Shadowlands at level 50, complete the story, reach max level 60, and choose Covenant before unlocking Sanctuary upgrades and accessing Redeemed Souls.

However, once you've reached this point with your first character, any new character can join the Covenant at level 50, without having to go through the story first. If you decide to do the latter, be careful not to lose the first five Redeemed Souls (more on that later).

After selecting one of the four pacts, the first chapter of the chosen pact's campaign will begin. Complete the missions until completing the chapter. You will then automatically receive your first five redeemed souls.

It is important to know that this is the only time you get Redeemed Souls during the campaign. After that, there is only one way to get them: by completing the weekly quest.

Weekly Quest "Return of Lost Souls"

The weekly quest "Retrieve Lost Souls" became available on December 1 at the start of the second week of the Shadowlands. The player's task is simple: go to the Tomb and rescue the five souls trapped there. In exchange, the player receives gold, an emblem of glory, and, of course, five redeemed souls.

To find and accept the quest, speak to your Soul Keeper at the Covenant Shrine. Then you have to go to the Tomb, which you can reach through the Transmission Ring in Oribos. But be careful; the location of the quest marker is misleading. The best places to find souls are to the west and northwest of Venari's hideout.

Once there, you can proceed to rescue imprisoned souls, caged souls, crying souls, or aimless souls. Since some of them are further north, the easiest option is to go for the Imprisoned Souls. Many of them are locked in stone prisons to the west of Venari's hideout (see the red area in the image).

You can see the exact location of the stone prisons on the minimap. Stone prisons look like heaps of stones. You just have to hit them until they break and the Soul (a silver-grey human form) is released. Don't forget to press the Soul before moving on. This will trigger the “soul rescue” action, after which the Soul will follow you.

Once you get to the right place, this quest will take no more than 5-10 minutes. Once you are done, go back to your soul keeper to complete the quest and collect the redeemed souls. Simply repeat this process every week to increase your collection of souls.

Soulkeeper upgrade and upgrade

Earning just five redeemed souls a week may seem like a very slow process, but you can speed it up by upgrading your Covenant Soul Keeper. There are a total of three updates. When you collect them all, the Retrieve Lost Souls weekly quest will reward you with 20 Redeemed Souls instead of five. Souls.

However, it is important to remember that Soul Keeper upgrades are available at fame levels 15, 24, and 32. Their fame level is comparable to their Covenant reputation system. So to get more souls redeemed faster, make sure to boost it!

There are three ways to increase your fame. The first way is to complete the "Retrieve Lost Souls" weekly quest, which you'll need for Redeemed Souls anyway. The second is by completing the Pact campaign chapters of your choice, and the third is by completing the weekly quest “Replenish the Reserve”. To complete the replenishment of the reserve, you have to collect Anima by completing the local quests and defeating the elite enemies.

Fix for missing redeemed souls

Unfortunately, some players found themselves without redeemed souls after skipping training missions and switching pacts to their alternate characters. As stated in the November 25 update, Blizzard has fixed the issue. If this situation occurs in your case, you will be able to get five redeemed souls the next time you visit the Alliance Shrine.

Now you know everything there is to know about Redeemed Souls. It's about time you visited the womb!
